She’s that brown girl in black boots,
With greys spurting out of her head, but gives two hoots.
Her name means smiling, and happiness she does spread,
But innumerable times she hath taken her worries to bed.
She was vulnerable once, thus left with an aching heart,
So she wore an armour and chose her own free path.
In a city so vast, she walks alone,
A small town heart in a world of stone.
With every dawn, she starts anew,
Looks up and whispers out a wish to nobody knows who.
In that early morning light, she finds her peace,
A fleeting moment, a sweet release.
She dreams of high mountains and low grasslands, and of skies so clear,
The sun shining through the trees and birds singing songs for her to hear.
She loves the sound of nature, and longs for solitude,
She’s a tiny brave soul, with true determination and fortitude.
